Loving this Spring 2021

A place to share what I’m currently loving this Spring, either items I’ve bought or places we’ve been to that I think deserve a shoutout. I have received no incentive for sharing these. Please note items were available at time of publishing.

Hello, I’ve not done one of these for a while, but I’ve recently bought a few items that I wanted to share with you. Not sure why this always seems to be in Spring but there you go!

The first is the Healthy Back Bag – An item I’ve had on my wish list for a while and was bought by my family for my Birthday. This is a back friendly, ergonomically designed backpack. There are various different sizes, from a baglet to large, of these fab bags and they come in a vast arrangement of colours. I had to have the bright pink. There really is something for everybody. What I love about it is the number of pockets it has and of course the comfort in carrying it. The special design means the bag fits snugly and safely across your back or slung over one shoulder. With the zips against your body, it keeps your stuff safe too. I’ve used this bag for days in uni and out for family walks and love it. My Daughter has her eye on pinching it, the argument being that I could do with a bigger one!

Pacmat Yorkshire Dales from Rubbastuff. At last, there is a Yorkshire Dales pacmat been added to the collection! These are fab waterproof picnic mats that also come in various colours, although there is an OS maps collection too. It had to be the Yorkshire Dales for me, and I may have commented over the years that they should add one. I can’t take the credit for it being added though. It was lovely to enjoy the Yorkshire Dales in my garden without actually being there. There are others, such as the Peak District, Snowdonia, South Downs and the Lake District to name a few. What I love about it is that it packs up small into a little bag and easy to sling in the car or backpack. Mine hasn’t visited the Yorkshire Dales yet, but I’m looking forward to taking it on my next picnic.

You may remember I once wrote a whole blog post about my love for a pair of trousers! Well, I treated myself to some more of the same, but this time in a lovely Poseidon blue colour. I find these trousers comfortable for walking, they have added stretch, pockets and sunshield technology. What’s more these are now made with 250g of recycled materials, so I love them even more.

Spending more time indoors, I decided to buy some blankets from Wildbounds. One is by Voited that is a 4 in 1 blanket. It was slightly more than I would usually pay for a blanket but can be a pillow, hands free cape or even a sleeping bag. The whole family, yes even the cat, has loved using this. It is so cosy and warm and although it hasn’t been on any adventures yet, I’m sure it would be ideal for camping, chilly beach days or just curling up in. Apart from the warmth, I love it because the material is also recycled, machine washable, waterproof and stain resistant. Definitely worth the investment. The second blanket I got is by Slowtide and is soft polar fleece. I love the design and colours and again it is lovely and cosy and perfect for spending more time outside with.

You may have noticed someone has decided to insert themselves in as many photos as possible. This wasn’t engineered by me, but a certain rescue cat who joined us in October! This is Felix who joined us from Cats Protection via a hands free adoption. We love him to bits even though he photobombs and claims every blanket as his own.

All we need now is some decent weather and the opportunity to take all these things on more adventures (not you Felix). I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
