Craghoppers Kiwi Prolite stretch trousers review

I’m in love, in love with a pair of trousers! The Outdoor Bloggers weekend was not only an opportunity to meet other outdoor bloggers, but also to talk kit and everything outdoors with like-minded people.

I was interested to see what cool kit the other bloggers had, and we talked about what we liked wearing. Interestingly, we discussed how people think nothing of spending a lot on jackets or hiking boots, but when it comes to trousers people tend not to bother. Slpodz reviewed a fantastic pair of Fjallraven keb trousers, they look fantastic and have lots of technical features, but are well out of my budget. Several of the ladies were wearing trousers from Craghoppers, so having chatted about them I treated myself to some Craghoppers Kiwi prolite stretch trousers.

As soon as I put them on I loved them. The outdoor bloggers had told me about the generous sizing and so on their advice I went down a size. The size 8 fits perfectly for me, not too tight and a nice length. I can’t stand trousers that are too short but Craghopper’s do a range of lengths and although I went for regular they were fine.

The trousers have great pockets, one even has lens cleaner attached inside, are stain and water-resistant and even have sun shield technology. Hopefully no burnt legs. What I really like about them is that they look smart and have a flattering fit. There’s also a bit a stretch in them so there’s no worry about ripping them as you climb over a stile or wall. Nothing worse than going out for the day worrying you mind end up flashing your pants after all!

I’ve only tested them out on a few walks so far, so we’ll have to see how they do over time, the only negative is that my cat loves them too. I might just have to have a look at the other colours they do…

Do you have a favourite piece of outdoor clothing? Or do you scrimp on spending what you wear on your legs? Let me know in the comments.

Craghoppers Kiwi Prolite stretch trousers retail at £50, but Craghoppers do have a price match promise if you find them cheaper at a genuine reseller.

All views are honest and my own and I received no incentive to write this.
